How to Obtain Probate (Letters of Administration)

How to Obtain Probate (Letters of Administration) in Abuja.

To get Letters of Administration in Abuja, follow these steps;

1. Get an Introduction letter from the deceased place of work (stating the deceased Next of kin(s).

2.Engage your lawyer and go with him to the Probate Department of High Court of FCT Maitama with two (2) Sureties.

3. Each Surety will provide his/her valid means of Identification and passport photograph.

4. The next of kin(s) to provide the following:

a. Valid means of Identification

b. 2 Passport Photographs each

c. Marriage Certificate (spouse)

d. Death Certificate of the deceased from hospital and NPC

e. List of the deceased properties, bank accounts, shares certificates, etc.

5. Payment of Application/Processing fees to be made at the High court.

6. Payment for NewsPaper Publication to be made at the High court.

7. Payment of Estate fees to be made at the High court.
