Digital technologies such as Blockchain have been widely adopted globally. According to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Blockchain Technologies could boost the global economy with US$1.76 trillion by 2030. However, to fully reap the potential benefits of Blockchain, nations must adapt it to their unique environments to ensure the attainment of maximal benefits while minimising risks. One of the ways to attain this is for government to provide clear regulatory and compliance procedures and it is in this wise that the National Blockchain Policy of Nigeria-NBP is adopted.
