The Environmental Health Officers (Registration, etc.) Act 2002 is a federal law that establishes a Federal Council in respect of Environmental Health Officers and also makes incidental provisions for the control of the practice of the profession of Environmental Health in Nigeria. It was made in 2002 but came into force on 5th January 2003. Note, some persons wrongly cite and refer to this law as the Environmental Health Officers (Registration, etc.) Act 2003 instead of as the Environmental Health Officers (Registration, etc.) Act 2002.
